Quaker Old Fashioned Grits

Grits are not something I grew up eating. My dad was from Oklahoma and my mother was from Arkansas and grits were never on the menu. We ate Cream of Wheat growing up. But, on a high school trip to Miami I stayed with a family that served grits for breakfast. The grits were great. Grits are a good addition to any vegetarian diet with a serving costing $00.12. The entire box of Quaker Old Fashioned Grits cost $2.15 on 12/06/2013 at Publix on Valleydale Road south of Birmingham, Alabama. A serving of is 1/4 cup dry grits and 1 cup water. I cook the grits in the microwave using the recipe on the box. Quaker Old Fashioned Grits are gluten and dairy free and have 4g of protein per servings. Grits work for any meal.
